How to perform the Doomsday Device in RetroMania Wrestling

Here’s how to perform the Doomsday Device in RetroMania Wrestling, which is the tag team finisher for Hawk and Animal of the Road Warriors.

Each wrestler in RetroMania Wrestling has their own unique finishing move, but there’s only one tag team finisher in the game, and it’s the Doomsday Device, made famous by Hawk and Animal of the Road Warriors.

How to perform the Doomsday Device in RetroMania Wrestling

To perform the Doomsday Device in RetroMania Wrestling, both Hawk and Animal need to be within the third momentum bar. However, their momentum does not need to be flashing. In the ring as Animal, grapple your opponent and drag them to the corner, tagging Hawk. From there, the Road Warriors will take care of the rest as Animal hoists the opponent onto his shoulders, and Hawk hits the flying clothesline from the top rope.

RetroMania Wrestling is currently available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Steam. It’s coming soon to iiRcade as well, and the developers at Retrosoft Studios have announced that DLC will be coming in the form of additional wrestlers, arenas, and modes.

Road Warrior Animal owned an original WWF arcade cabinet

In an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling in 2020, just months prior to the WWE Hall of Famer passing away, Road Warrior Animal discussed being included in RetroMania Wrestling, and even revealed that he had an original WWF arcade game in his basement.

You know, I have the original WWF Superstars game in my basement, the big one, the arcade game. A friend of mine used to run an arcade company, and he gave me a brand new one. When I saw the Retrosoft one, the replica, it’s the same kind of game, but the graphics are better, and its present-day movements, it’s really cool.

When they approached me on it, it was just with the company Retrosoft. Now that it’s a Nintendo game, I belive it’s going to be one of the hottest selling games because fans like to go back and play the retro stuff. They love to go back and play the old with new school movements.

Both Animal and Hawk of the Road Warriors were featured as the ‘bosses’ in WWF WrestleFest, which was released in 1991. However, they only appeared in the game as the final team in the game’s “Saturday Night’s Main Event” tag team ladder, but weren’t playable. We’re certainly glad that wasn’t the case with RetroMania Wrestling.
